Meet Penny

For over 10 years, I have assisted children who present with ADHD, attention disorders, learning issues, dyslexia, anxiety, panic attacks and sensory and coordination challenges as a licensed developmental delay practitioner.

I work hard from the outset to understand each child. I then tailor a programme to suit the individual, thus building a strong rapport over the life of the programme. I aim to meet the child at their skill level. This promotes a caring, nurturing yet progressive learning environment.

I specialise in neurodevelopmental therapy, helping children to overcome challenges linked to neuromotor immaturity and retained primitive reflexes. These underlying difficulties can impact coordination, learning, behaviour, and everyday functioning. Providing the right support and tailored interventions, we believe meaningful progress is not only possible but achievable.

Every child begins with a thorough clinical assessment, allowing us to understand their unique strengths, weaknesses, and developmental profile.  Based on the assessment, an individualised movement and remediation program is developed. Over time, this can lead to improvements in coordination, focus, emotional regulation, independence and confidence to successfully build their daily capacity skills.

I also hold qualifications in holistic counselling, literacy development, and The Institute of Neuro Physiological Psychology (INPP) in developmental delay issues. I continue to advance my studies with Dr Robert Melillo and recently completed training in communication methods for non-verbal autistic individuals.

How it works

Sessions
Progress Measurement

I strive to make each session enjoyable by tailoring individual goals with targeted movements, interventions, and structured play all aligned with a clear learning and development objective.

Progress is regularly measured with verbal and assessment feedback for both the child and the parents. Home goals are set and monitored to encourage incremental improvement and maximise value for money.

What happy students & parents say

Happy family edited

I just want to express my gratitude for what you have done to assist Matthew. The INPP program has made a world of difference to Matthew. Before we started the program, he was struggling with every aspect of school and general balance and coordination. He had difficulty writing, reading, understanding phonics and had a lot of trouble concentrating and focussing in the classroom.

Through your assistance, we started the INPP program, and a series of exercises. The improvement following the completion of each stage of the program was remarkable! The difference this has made to his abilities and confidence is overwhelming. I can’t thank you enough for helping Matthew on this program - something we will always be grateful to you for.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your program to anyone with a child experiencing similar difficulties.
